Basalt Life Safety Design provides design, documentation, calculation, takeoff and submittal-preparation services. We do not provide installation, monitoring, emergency response, formal inspection, commissioning authority or acceptance testing services.
Professional engineering services and sealed documents are provided only where legally authorized and under the responsible charge of the licensed professional identified on the documents. Licensure and service availability vary by jurisdiction.
Deliverables, revisions, response support and included calculations are defined in the written proposal or agreement for each project. Items described on this website as “as applicable,” “when requested” or “when included in scope” are provided only when confirmed in that agreement.
Our documentation relies on drawings, specifications, field information and design criteria supplied by the client or project team. We are not responsible for errors resulting from inaccurate, incomplete or superseded information provided to us, unless verification was part of the agreed scope.
Design work is prepared against the code editions, local amendments and criteria identified at the time of scope confirmation. Interpretations and additional requirements imposed by an authority having jurisdiction may require revisions, which are handled within the agreed scope or as an additional service.
Deliverables are prepared for the specific project and purpose identified in the agreement. Reuse on other projects, or modification by others, is not authorized and is at the sole risk of the party doing so.
